This will be my fourth summer working at Butler Camp. During the summers, I have served on the admin team as the Outdoor Coordinator, putting on cookouts, overnights, archery lessons, and wilderness skills lessons. I love creating fun outdoors and passing on all sorts of skills and knowledge that the children can carry with them into the rest of their lives.

Hi! My name is Aliyah. I have been working with kids for a little over four years, and this is my third summer as a counselor at Butler Camp. I can’t wait! I am a rising freshman at Virginia Tech, studying aerospace engineering. I am so excited to make new memories this summer, especially playing pool games and making crafts!

This will be my 9th summer working here at Butler Camp. I have done every job that can be thought of here. I love this place, I went to school here and now I am an Assistant here in the YCC (Young Children's Community). This summer I'm leaving the office and going back to be a lead on the Ropes Course, it should be fun!

Hi, my name is Melannie. I am a current Senior at the University of Maryland studying elementary education. I am graduating this spring semester (2026). I have a younger sister and an older brother, but out of the three of us, I'm probably the one who enjoys nature and being outside the most. This is my first time working with Bulter Camp, and I am very excited to get started this summer. Though this may be my first time in Bulter Camp, I have many years of experience working with children through a variety of volunteer and internship roles.
